Improving my photos!! So over the past couple of weeks my main focus has been on improving my photos. Its not possible to promote your work and get accepted into Galleries, Craft Fairs etc with excellent photos.
What I'm starting to understand is that being able to take really good photos and being able to do some photo editing is just part and parcel of being a Jeweller.
I'm a very independent person and therefore have a tendency to want to do everything myself. This is also practical as you really need to be updating your website on a weekly basis in order to keep your audience engaged, this is hard. Especially at the moment as I'm also selling my home so I have to keep it looking immaculate, complete long DIY tasks etc etc.
And make Jewellery.
Last week I spent a Day in Bovey Tracy Learning how to take macro shots and a bit about lighting.
We (more me than anyone else) also managed to scoff, something insane like 10 doughnuts....ooops!!!
Here is one of the shots after the genius Barrie Cutler did some magic editing on it, which hopefully I will be learning how to do from him.
